The Total Assist membership card differs from those of competitors in that Total Assist members are guaranteed value in return for the members' investment in membership fee paid, vis-a-vis in the form of 'free labour charges' for vehicle servicing, which is a necessity for all vehicle owners. This effectively means that the Total Assist membership is free!

In cases of members owning high end vehicle makes (e.g. Mercedes Benz, BMW, etc.), the value of 'free labour charges for vehicle servicing' gained by members far exceeds the nominal membership fee 'invested' by them, in which case there is actually nett savings for the Total Assist members.

On the other hand, members of other conventional auto-assist cards may not be able to derive any value for the annual membership fee paid in event they do not encounter any incidence of vehicle breakdowns, in which case, they derive zero returns on their investments.

In short, unlike other conventional auto-assist cards who concentrate on emergency assistance, Total Assist capitalises on the provision of essential services to motorists (i.e. regular and proper vehicle servicing and maintenance) on top of other crucial contingency services and benefits such as insurance protection, emergency accident assistance and breakdown towing.

KLFTA believes that 'prevention is better than cure'. Hence, with the 20-point maintenance checks and with its free labour charges for vehicle servicing encouraging more regular maintenance, Total Assist to a large extent limits the probability of vehicle breakdowns as well as accidents.
